ABOUT

Combining the love of Skateboarding, Hip Hop and Surfing FreeForma’s freedom of expression was formed.
It all started at the age of 9. Skateboarding at the latest London Skate Park, Tick Taking on concrete through the late 70’s and sliding into the London Braking scene in the early 80’s at the age of 12. It was the early days of Hip Hop in London, everyone was listening to London Weekend Radio (LWR) and I was perfecting my break dance moves. It was my way of life. I became known as the “Stylist”. Run DMC performing live on stage at Electric Ballroom in 1985 set the background. Together with Freaky D, Breaker Ray and Mad Flex we battled London crews and tore up the dance floor. The FreeForma move was born - Diving into a Belly-Copta and then into a Back-Spin and spiralling into a Head-Spin I seemed to go around forever before coming down into a perfect freeze, Breaker Ray did His famous 1990 Hand Spin and the crowd went wild.
It wasn’t until 2002 that I started Surfing on the beaches of Sydney Australia and really got into longboarding, it’s something about the grace of the Mal that is like dancing on the rolls of the waves it has rhythm and its old Skool with style and grace. From there on in I was hooked on wave science and found a new lease in life riding waves in the UK, Australia, USA and around the world. Riding on the crest of many different scenes/genres of lifestyle expression and choices inspired this clothing line.
